Hi, I’m Alastair
I’m currently working as a DevOps Engineer, with over 10 years’ experience across IT and software teams. My background spans software engineering, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and automation — with a strong focus on building systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to operate.
Wilson House exists because not every problem needs a large agency or layers of project management. Many organisations just want clear technical thinking, honest advice, and someone who takes ownership from start to finish.

How I work
Most projects start with a short discovery phase to define the problem, constraints, and what success actually looks like. From there, work is delivered in small, deliberate increments — shipping early, iterating, and keeping complexity under control.
I’m based in Nottinghamshire and work with organisations across Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, Derby, Sheffield, Worksop and Chesterfield — as well as remotely when it makes sense.
